Update Postal Code
The Postal Code File contains the abbreviations for States and Provinces. This window titled Select Postal Code allows the user to Select an existing postal code, Insert a new postal code, or Change the code and/or description for an existing postal code.
Postal Code: This is a locator box which can be used to quickly access a specific postal code. Type the code you wish to locate, press the Tab key, and that code (or the closest match to the code you typed) will be highlighted in the list box. NOTE: Your mouse cursor may be located in the list box or in this locator box when you type the code.
[ Select ] Press this button to select the highlighted postal code.
[ Insert ] Press this button to insert a new postal code into the Postal Code File. This will open a window titled Adding a Postal Code where you may enter the appropriate information for this new postal code. For additional information on how to add a new postal code into this file, see Update Postal Code.
[ Change ] Press this button to edit information for the highlighted postal code. This will open a window titled Changing a Postal Code where you may edit any of the information for this postal code. For additional information on how to edit an existing postal code, see Update Postal Code.
[ Close ] Press this button to close this window and return to the previous window.
[ Help ] Press this button (if available) or the F1 key to view the Help text for this window.
