Select DOS Printer

Select DOS Printer

This window titled Select DOS Printer will display all the printers which have been defined in your IBS System. All of the reports, checks, invoices, etc. generated in the IBS Windows software will print through the Windows operating system to laser printers. Many of our customers, however, use multi-part, continuous-feed forms which must be printed on a dot-matrix printer. Therefore, our programmers have retained limited DOS-printing capabilities in our new IBS Windows programs. In order to print through DOS, you must set up your printers in the IBS DOS Printer Control File (IBSDP1.TPS) with the appropriate printer decimal codes. The printer decimal codes can be found in your printer manual or you can obtain these codes from the manufacturer of your printer. NOTE: Direct Systems does not have the printer decimal codes for all types of printers. We also do not guarantee that you will be able to print to all types of printers. You should be able to successfully print using Epson, Panasonic, Okidata, or IBM printers (or printers which emulate these types).

Printer Name: The name of the highlighted printer will be displayed in this field.

Please note that you must add the appropriate printer decimal codes for the printer you are adding to this file.
