Editing Log On

The IBS System is password protected. This window enables you to enter your password to "log-on" to the program. Passwords control the permissions to the various program functions. Without a password, it is impossible to perform any function in this program. Authorized users must be set up in the Password Permission File before they can use the various features in this program.

Password: Enter your password (1 to 6 characters) in this field. NOTE: It will be hidden from view and appear in the window as asterisks (******). Press the Tab Key to validate the password you have entered. If the password is valid, then the Name and User ID attached to this password will be displayed in the window.

Name: This box will display the Name attached to the password entered if you enter a valid password. If you enter an invalid password, then nothing will appear in this box. Also, you cannot enter any characters into this box.

User ID: This box will display the User ID attached to the password entered if you enter a valid password. If you enter an invalid password, then nothing will appear in this box. Also, you cannot enter any characters into this box.

[ OK ] Once a Name and User ID appear to indicate that a valid password has been entered, then press this button to record your password and permissions in the system. The permissions recorded at this time will determine which options you have access to use. NOTE: If you entered an invalid password, you will be granted access to the program. However, you cannot access any options within the program. You will be instructed to set up a password and then select Files-Log On to log into the program using a valid password.

The password file is also a protected file. Access to the password file is protected by a Program Master ID# which should be known only by the owner of your company and/or your company's System Administrator. If your password does not allow you access to this program, then please consult your System Administrator for assistance. He/she may need to edit the permissions within your password file.
