Print Time Card Labels

This window titled Print Time Card Labels enables you to select the type of labels you wish to print for your time cards. This can save you some time each week in getting the employee's names onto the time cards.


Department: Enter a "0" (zero) in this field if you want to include all departments. If you want to include a single department only, then enter that department number. The name of the selected department will be displayed to the right of this field. Press the {?} to the right of this field to open a window titled Select Department which displays the current departments.

Format: There are two label formats available, as explained below. Point your mouse cursor to the desired Format option and left-click your mouse one time to select that option.

Address Press this button to print labels which include: Employee's Number Employee's Social Security Number (if SSN box below is checked) Department Number Employee's Name Employee's Address (City, State, Zip Code) Employee's Phone Number.

Name Only Press this button to print labels which include:

Pay Period Dates (Week of MM/DD/YYYY to MM/DD/YYYY) Employee's Name Employee's Number Employee's Social Security Number (if SSN box below is checked) Department Number Department Name.

Week Of: Enter the beginning and ending dates for the payroll period. NOTE: These fields will be available only if the Name Only format has been selected above. These fields are not available on the Address format label.

[Ö] Print SSN on Label Check this box to print the Employee's Social Security Number on the Time Card Label. Un-check this box to omit the Employee's Social Security Number on the Time Card Label. Point your mouse cursor to this box and left-click your mouse one time to check or un-check this box, as appropriate.

[ Select Printer ] Press this button to select the appropriate printer for printing these labels.


If you are printing Laser Labels, the system will automatically default to your Windows Default Printer unless you use this [Select Printer] button before generating the labels and select a different printer. You must select the appropriate printer BEFORE you press the [Print Laser Labels] button to generate the labels as you cannot change the printer selection on the Report Preview window.

If you are printing Continuous Labels, the system will automatically default to your system's DOS Default Printer. You will have the option to select a different printer on the Viewing window which will appear after you press the [Print Continuous Labels] button.

[ Print Laser Labels ] Press this button to print the selected label format on laser labels. These labels will appear in a Report Preview window for your review prior to printing.


IMPORTANT: Use the [Select Printer] button to select the appropriate laser printer BEFORE you press this button to generate these labels as you cannot change the printer selection after this button as been selected and the Report Preview window appears.

[ Print Continuous Labels ] Press this button to print the selected label format on continuous-feed labels on your dot-matrix printer. Another window titled Select Report File Name will appear. For additional information on that window, please see Select Report File Name. After completing the Select Report File Name window, the labels will then appear in a Viewing window for your review prior to printing. You will be able to select the appropriate DOS printer on this Viewing window. For additional information, please see View Text File, Select DOS Printer, and Update DOS Printer. [ Close ] Press this button to close this window and return to the previous window.
