Employee Master File Maintenance

This window titled Employee Master File Maintenance displays all of the employees which have been set up in the Employee Master File. The employees may be displayed in one of two different sort orders (By Employee Name or By Employee Number). Point your mouse cursor to the desired sort order tab (By Employee Name or By Employee Number) at the top of this window and left-click your mouse one time to select that sort order.

Sort-Locator/Employee Number: This field is a locator field. Type the name or number, as appropriate, of the desired employee and the window will display the employees starting with the closest match to the name or number typed. If this field is highlighted, then press the Tab Key to start the display.

[ Insert ] Press this button to open a window titled Adding an Employee which enables you to add a new employee to the system.

[ Change ] Press this button to open a window titled Updating an Employee which enables you to edit the highlighted employee.

[ Delete ] Press this button to open a window titled Remove Employee which enables you to remove all or part of the historical information for the highlighted employee.

[ Print ] Press this button to print either a partial or a complete listing of the employees in the Employee Master File in the currently selected sort order (By Employee Name or By Employee Number). The number next to a selection indicates the length of the report.

[ Close ] Press this button to close this window and return to the previous window.

[ Help ] Press this button (if available) or the F1 key to view the Help text for this window.
