SIT Location: Use this drop-box to select the applicable SIT Location. This can be at Origin, at Destination, or some other address.

Sequence: Enter the sequence number starting with 1. If there are more than one SIT entries for this SIT location, then increment this sequence number appropriately.

There are two tabs on this screen - General and Instructions and their fields will be described below.

Warehouse: This box displays the information for the selected SIT Location selected above. You can edit this information by pressing the [Edit Warehouse] button at the bottom of this display.

[Edit Warehouse] Press this button to edit the SIT Location address.

Note: If you wish to add a second SIT location for the same location (Origin, etc.) then make sure you set up a second address for that location when editing the warehouse.

Contact Person: Enter the name of the contact person at that warehouse.

Primary Phone: Enter the primary phone number for the contact person.

Other Phone: Enter an alternate phone number, if applicable.

SIT Weight: Enter the weight of the shipment which is being stored. This can often differ from the actual shipment weight when only part of the shipment is placed into storage.

SIT Miles: Enter the mileage from the SIT Warehouse to the Pickup or Delivery location of the shipment. This mileage will determine which section of the Tariff is used to rate the Drayage.

SIT Tariff: Enter the tariff which will be used to calculate the SIT storage, if applicable.

Section: Enter the section of the tariff which will be used to calculate the SIT storage transportation, if applicable.

SIT Control Number: Enter the Control Number which has been issued by the company responsible for paying these storage charges. This number is needed for all Military and some Civilian shipments in order for the Storage Charges to be paid.

Days Authorized: Enter the number of days that storage is authorized by the National Account. The day on which the SIT Authorization expires will be displayed to the right of this field.

SIT Expires: This date is calculated based upon the Arrive Warehouse Date and the Days Authorized in the field above. It is used for the SIT Expiration Report.

SIT Discount: Enter the appropriate SIT Discount percentage, if applicable. A 25% discount is entered as 25.00

[X] Received Damaged Check this box if this shipment was already damaged when it was received into the warehouse. This is an information field which is useful for subsequent claims tracking and settlement.

Arrive Warehouse, Leave Warehouse, Days in Warehouse: These dates are used for the actual days on which the shipment came into the warehouse and left the warehouse. They are the basis for the two Warehouse Reports of "Shipments in Warehouse" and "New Shipments Received in Warehouse". The number of days actually in the warehouse are calculated and displayed. See Entering Dates

Begin Charges, End Charges, Days billable. These dates represent the beginning and ending of the charges for storage and the actual number of days to be charged for. See Entering Dates

Note There are instances where storage will not begin until a few days after the shipment has been received in the warehouse (like DPM Outbound). There are also situations where the storage charges will expire before it is actually released from the warehouse. Consequently, two sets of dates are required; one to properly manage which shipments are physically in the warehouse and one to determine how many days of storage to bill for.

[Attach to ...] or [Un-Attach from ...] Press this button to attach this SIT to the current company or to Un-Attach it. Attaching it will make this SIT active for the various SIT reports for this company.
