Help:CM1-Form-1099 Selections
This option will print the Forms 1099-MISC for those agents flagged to receive forms 1099-MISC. These forms may be printed on continuous-feed 1099 forms to a dot-matrix printer or they may be printed on laser forms.
IMPORTANT: Forms 1099-MISC for Commission Agents MUST be printed using this option in the Commissions Manager module. Do NOT use the Forms 1099 option in the Accounts Payable Manager module for Commission Agents as the Accounts Payable Manager module does not track year-to-date Earnings for agents. The Accounts Payable Manager module tracks year-to-date Payments to agents and such payments may have included credits for expense items that were charged back to the agent. Therefore, the year-to-date amount in the Accounts Payable Manager module does not accurately reflect a Commission Agent's actual Earnings for the year.
This option can also produce the Electronic Transfer Diskette for the Forms 1099-MISC. Only those companies with a large number of 1099 forms will need to submit this information electronically.
