Help:AR1-Convert ASCII Transfer Files
This window titled Convert ASCII Transfer Files into IBS Import Files allows you to import billing that was generated by foreign Billing or Dispatch systems by the use of the standard ASCII transfer file format. This program reads these ASCII files, checks them for accuracy, enables you to change the fields which are inaccurate, and finally translates them into the special IBS import format which is used by our IBS Customer Service/Dispatch Manager module. You must then use the Import DM1 Transfer Files option on the Transactions Pull-Down Menu to import the newly created IBS Import format into the Accounts Receivable Manager files. NOTE: The ASCII Transfer File formats are public and will be given to any software provider who wishes to build this interface from their Billing or Dispatch program into the IBS Accounts Receivable system.
ASCII Transfer Files Location *: Enter the Drive/Path on which the ASCII Transfer Files are located. Press the {?} to the right of this field to open a window titled Browse for Folder which enables you to search for the appropriate location of these files displaying all the drives and folders available on your system. This is a required field.
IBS Transfer Files Location *: Enter the Drive/Path on which you wish to create the IBS Transfer Files. It is recommended that you use the IBS Data Directory which is automatically placed in this field. Press the {?} to the right of this field to open a window titled Browse for Folder which enables you to search for the appropriate location of these files displaying all the drives and folders available on your system. This is a required field.
[ Begin ] Press this button to begin this conversion operation. The program will read the ASCII Files and convert them into the IBS Import Format. If there are any mandatory fields which are incomplete or in error, a special window will appear with that information. The field that is in error will be highlighted, giving you the ability to correct it before it is imported. After it has finished, it will erase the ASCII Transfer Files.
[ Cancel ] Press this button to cancel this operation. This button is only active before the [Begin] button is pressed.

Shipments Added: This is an informational field only which displays the total shipments added during this operation. You cannot edit the information in this field.
Total Billing Imported: This is an informational field only which displays the total billing imported during this operation. You cannot edit the information in this field.
Total Commissions Imported: This is an informational field only which displays the total commissions imported during this operation. You cannot edit the information in this field.
[ OK ] This button will become active after the operation has completed. Press this button to close this window and return to the previous window.
