Adding a User Name

The window titled Adding a User Name is used to add a new User ID to your system and the window titled Changing a User Name is used to edit an existing User ID.


User ID: Enter the User ID by which you wish to identify this user. Please note that this is a six-digit alpha-numeric field. For your information, this User ID file is also used by the Customer Service/Dispatch Manager module to identify the Move Coordinator and/or Billing Processor for shipments. It is also used by the Sales/Lead Tracker and Move/Task Manager modules to attach employees to Tasks. User ID is a required field.

Name: Enter the employee's name in this field. Name is a required field.

Sort-Locator: Enter the employee's name in the order in which it should appear on a listing which is sorted alphabetically. For example, to sort Virginia Wolf under "W", the Sort-Locator should be Wolf, Virginia. Sort-Locator is a required field. NOTE: The system will use the Name as the Sort-Locator unless you choose to override this default with another Sort-Locator as previously explained. Press the [Reverse Entry] button to the right of this field and the system will automatically reverse the Name that is displayed in the Name field above.

[ Reverse Entry ] Press this button to automatically reverse the name in the Sort-Locator field. For instance, Virginia Wolf will be reversed to Wolf, Virginia.

[ Add ] This button will appear if you selected the [Insert] button on the previous window. Press this button to add this new User ID to your system.

[ Save ] This button will appear if you selected the [Change] button on the previous window. Press this button to save any edits made to this User ID.

[ Cancel ] This button is used to ignore any changes that may have been made in the active window and to return to the previous window. The Esc (escape) Key will also function as a Cancel request. NOTE: If you add any information to an active window, and then press the [Cancel] button or the Esc (escape) Key to exit the window, a window titled Save Record will open. For additional information, see Save Record.
