Help:DMS-Update Resources Equipment
This window is used to Add or Modify a Vehicle or other piece of Equipment in the Dispatch Resource Database.

ID: Enter a number (1 - 999999) which will uniquely identify this Vehicle or piece of equipment.
[X] Active Check this box of this resource is active. Un-check this box to prevent this resource from appearing in the dispatch selection windows. These resources need to be kept for historical purposes. All new vehicles need to be assigned new resource numbers.
Branch: Use this drop-box to select a specific Company Branch to which this Equipment belongs. If this Equipment can be dispatched in multiple Company Branches, then select "Include All Branches".
Name: Enter specific name of this Vehicle or Equipment.
Sort-Locator: Enter the name of this Vehicle or Equipment as it would appear on a sorted list. Use here whichever naming convention which will make locating the Vehicles easiest for you.
Dispatcher: Use this drop-box to select the dispatch whom will assign this equipment to the various Work Tickets. If this equipment can be assigned by multiple dispatchers, then select "Not Determined".
Team Number: Enter the Number of the team to which this equipment is to be assigned. Not all equipment need to be members of a team, but this number will group together all Employees and equipment with the same Team Number. This feature is for the benefit of the Dispatcher in speeding up the assignments of Personnel and equipment which usually work together to a Service.
Billing Rate: Enter the standard rate at which this Vehicle's hours are billed. This field will be used for the Billing Rate if the Build Charges from Assignments feature in the Billing Charges section is used. If you will not bill for this Vehicle's hours by using this option, then leave this field blank.
Memo Tab This displays a text box where specific comments can be made concerning this equipment. Such information might be useful in assigning specific equipment.
[Save] Pressing this button will save the changes made to this equipment on this window.
[Cancel] Press this button to ignore any changes made on this screen and return to the previous screen.
[Help] Press this button to call the Help Screen.
