Service ID: This is a unique number which identifies this particular Job Service Control entry.
Numbers 1 - 99 have been reserved by the program for the various Van Line Job Service Control types. The information in all of the related fields is totally controlled by the Van Line. None of these Van Line controlled entries can be edited by the user. This is to ensure that the Van Line required data elements are present for each of the Job types and that the proper choices and substitution codes are also correct.
Numbers 100+ will be assigned by the program to any Job Service Control types which the customer needs to enter. These Job Service Control Types are under the full control of the user and can be edited as necessary.
[X] Active Check this box if this an active Job Service Control type. Uncheck this box if it is no longer in use.
Note These Job Service Control types cannot be deleted since they might be used by historical shipments. Unchecking this box will render these Job Service Control types unavailable when adding a new company job and will serve the same purpose as deleting this entry.

[Add Defaults] Press this button to add the default entries for all of the Prompt types. This is useful when setting up a new Job Service Control type for the first time. Those prompts which are not necessary can be removed by marking them as not Active.
Control Dates Every job that is done must be done in one or more phases like Packing, Loading, Hauling, Delivering, etc. These phases are identified by the dates on which each phase is done. Not all job types require the same types of control dates. Some jobs like accessing a storage lot by a customer can have only one Control date, where as complex Van Line or Office jobs can have multiple control dates.
These control dates can also link to the work tickets and task lists to make sure that each job is completed in a timely manner and that nothing is forgotten.
Agencies This section is used primarily for Van Line jobs. It identifies both the types of Agencies that can participate in the Job as well as the Agency Personnel who are also responsible for various segments of each job.
If you are creating a Job Service Control for non-Van Line jobs, then you can leave these agencies blank for that Service type.
Misc Fields There are many individual pieces of data which are required to properly handle any Job. Most of the common data are already included in the main database. However there are some pieces of data which are specific to a particular job type that are not in the standard database set of entries.
This area lets you add the prompts for specific data elements that are not already in the database. The Misc data fields can contain any information up to 35 characters long.
These Misc data fields are also used by the Van Lines for their own proprietary data.
Lookup Fields There are many individual pieces of data which are required to properly handle any Job. Most of the common data are already included in the main database. However there are some pieces of data which are specific to a particular job type that are not in the standard database set of entries.
This area lets you add the prompts for specific data elements that require one of a pre-set choice list that are not already in the database. There can be up to 36 different choices per pre-set choice set.
These Misc Lookup fields are also used by the Van Lines for their own proprietary data.
