Update Customer/Account Type

The window titled Adding a Customer/Account Type is used to add a new customer/account type, the window titled Changing a Customer Account Type is used to change an existing customer/account type, and the window titled Removing a Customer Account Type is used to delete an existing customer/account type in the Customer/Account Type File.


Adding a Customer/Account Type This window will appear if you selected [Insert] on the Select Customer Account/Type window. This window allows the user to add a new customer type. Enter a Customer Type Code (1 character field -- alpha-numeric) and the description for this new customer type. NOTE: Both fields are required elements -- you cannot set up a Customer Type Code without a Description and vice versa.

[ OK ] Press this button to insert this new customer type into the Customer/Account Type File.

[ Cancel ] Press this button to close this window and return to the previous window without adding this new customer type. NOTE: If you enter anything on this window and then press the [Cancel] button, another window titled Save Record will open. For additional information, see Save Record.

[ Help ] Press this button (if available) or the F1 key to view the Help text for this window.


Changing a Customer/Account Type This window will appear if you selected [Change] on the Select Customer Account/Type window. This window allows the user to change the highlighted customer type. Simply make the appropriate edits to the Customer Type and/or Description for this customer type.

[ OK ] Press this button to save the changes you made in the Customer/Account Type File

[ Cancel ] Press this button to close this window and return to the previous window without saving any changes. NOTE: If you make changes and then press the [Cancel] button, another window titled Save Record will open. For additional information, see Save Record.

[ Help ] Press this button (if available) or the F1 key to view the Help text for this window.

Removing a Customer/Account Type This window will appear if you selected [Delete] on the Select Customer Account/Type window. This window allows the user to delete the highlighted customer type.

[ OK ] Press this button to confirm your desire to delete this customer type from the Customer/Account Type File.

[ Cancel ] Press this button to close this window and return to the previous window without deleting this customer type.

[ Help ] Press this button (if available) or the F1 key to view the Help text for this window.
