Adding an A/R Note
The window titled Adding an A/R Note is used to add a new note to the AR1 Notepad. The window titled Changing an A/R Note is used to edit an existing note in the AR1 Notepad.
Date *: Enter the date of this note (MM/DD/YYYY). NOTE: Press the [?] to the right of this field to activate a pop-up calendar which can be used to select the date. Once a date has been selected, the up/down arrows to the right of this field can be used to move the date up or down one day at a time. This is a required field.
Time *: This field will automatically default to the current system time if you are adding a new note or will display the time an existing note was added to the system. You may edit the time displayed in this field if necessary. Please note that the hours will be displayed in military hours (e.g., 1:00 p.m. will be displayed as 13:00). This is a required field.
Account: This field will be automatically pulled from the A/R Master File for this accounts receivable file, if an Account has been designated in that file. Please note that you cannot edit the data in this field on this window. Any edits to this field must be made by editing the Account field in the A/R Master File.
Note Type *: Notes can be categorized by different types and this Note Type file is a totally user-definable file. This is a required field.
Note *: Enter the text of your note in this box. This is a required field.
[ Add ] This button will appear if you pressed the [Insert] button on the previous window to add a new note to the AR1 Notepad. Press this button to add this new A/R Note to the AR1 Notes File (AR1D20.TPS)
[ Save ] This button will appear if you pressed the [View/Edit] button on the previous window to edit an existing note in the AR1 Notepad Press this button to save any changes made to this A/R Note in the AR1 Notes File (AR1D20.TPS).
[ Cancel ] Press this button to close this window and return to the previous window. NOTE: If you make any changes in this window and then press the [Cancel] button to ignore those changes, then another window titled Save Record will open which asks "Do you want to save the changes to this record?". For additional information, please see Save Record.
