Help:CRS-Billing Codes Maintenance
A Billing Code Table is a pre-configured set of billing calculations for each of the many different types of charges your company can bill for. Pre-setting this information in a Billing Code greatly speeds up the Billing process. This system has actually two sets of Billing Codes - The Standard Billing Codes and the Customer-Specific Billing Codes.
The Standard Billing Code table is generic and not specific to any one Customer. These codes can form the basis of the Customer-Specific billing codes or they can be used directly by any Customer. It is quite common for a company to have different rates for its different customers. The Standard Billing Code Table can then be set up with each type of service which is common to all customers. Then, these codes can be imported into a specific customer and the rates customized for that one customer only. However, they must first be set up here before they can be imported into any one Customer.
This screen can display the Standard Billing Code Table in one of two sort orders - by Billing Code and by Description. Press the tab for the sort order you wish to use.
At the top of each tab is a locator field. If you type in the code or description you are looking for in this field and press the Tab Key, the screen will display the billing codes beginning with the closest match to your entry.
[ Short Listing ] Press this button to generate a limited listing of the Standard Billing Code Table. This report contains the Billing Code, Description, Code Type and Rate fields only. The report will be in the sorted order of the currently displayed Tab.
[ Full Listing ] Press this button to generate a full listing of the Standard Billing Code Table. This report contains all of the fields in the Billing Code Table.
[ Insert ] Press this button to add a new Billing Code. See Update Standard Billing Code
[ Change ] Press this button to edit the highlighted entry on the screen. See Update Standard Billing Code
[ Delete ] Press this button to remove the highlighted entry on the screen. See Update Standard Billing Code
[ Close ] Press this button to close this window.
