Help:GL1-Change Batch Posting Code
This window titled Change Posting Code on One Batch is used to change the posting Month/Year used in a specific batch when the Posting Month/Year was entered incorrectly. It will search the entire batch selected for the Posting Month/Year specified and replace it with the new Posting Month/Year. It will make this change in the General Ledger Detail History file (GL1D04) and the General Ledger Master YTD Amounts file (GL1D02).
NOTE: All entries with the specified Posting Month/Year within the selected batch will be changed to the new Posting Month/Year. If some of the entries in this batch with the specified Posting Month/Year should not be changed to another Posting Month/Year, then this option cannot be used.
Also, please note that the system may not allow you to change the posting code on multiple batches consecutively. You should exit the General Ledger module entirely between changing the posting code on each individual batch.
Batch to Change: Enter the Batch Number to be changed. A description of the batch's journal is displayed to the right of this field. Press the [?] to the right of this field to open a window titled Select Batch which will display all of the batches currently on the system.
Change Posting Month/Year: Enter the Calendar Posting Month/Year to be changed. Please note that the corresponding Fiscal Month/Year will be displayed to the right of these fields.
To Posting Month/Year: Enter the correct Calendar Posting Month/Year. Please note that the corresponding Fiscal Month/Year will be displayed to the right of these fields.
The program will read the batch specified in the Batch to Change field above. If it finds the Posting Month/Year specified in the Change Posting Month/Year field above, then it will change it to the Posting Month/Year specified in this To Posting Month/Year field.
[ Begin ] Press this button to begin this operation.
[ Cancel ] Press this button to cancel this operation. NOTE: This button is not available AFTER the [Begin] button has been pressed.
Records Changed: This is an informational field only which displays the total number of records changed during this operation. You cannot edit the information in this field.
[ OK ] This button will become available after the operation has completed. Press this button to close this window and return to the previous window.
