Drop box

Drop Boxes are data fields where the contents of the field are limited to certain pre-set choices. These drop boxes are data-entry field with a down-arrow at the far right of the field. All of the User-Definable choices fields use Drop Boxes for their selections. Other program-determined choices also use drop boxes.

The choices in these drop boxes are always displayed in the sorted order of the description. To see the choices, you can place the cursor over the down-arrow at the end of the field and left-click the mouse. The most common way to select a choice is to type in the first letter of the choice. The first instance of that letter will appear in the field. If there are multiple instances of choices which share that same first letter, then the standard list box navagation keys apply as described below:

Up Arrow: This will move the highlighted selection to the one just above the currented highlighted row.

Down Arrow: This will move the highlighted selection to the one just below the current highlighted row.

Page Up: This will display the previous page of choices.

Ctrl + Page Up: This will display the first page of choices.

Page Down: This will display the next page of choices.

Ctrl + Page Down: This will display the final page of choices.
